Texas High School Baseball - Smithson Valley nips Westlake

Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Smithson Valley upgrades its record to 28-5 on the season. The Rangers travel to Reagan (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Rattlers in a non-league test on Saturday, May 21. The Rattlers come into the test with a record of 27-5.

With the defeat, Westlake falls to 24-8 on the season.
