The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL) and the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), saw Stagg's volleyball squad beat Shepard by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Stagg upgrades its record to 13-12 on the year. The Chargers host Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to play the Warriors in a Southwest Suburban bout on Thursday, May 19. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 20-13.

The Astros now own a 6-23 record. They play next when they travel to Argo for a South Suburban bout on Monday, May 16. Shepard will play a Argonauts squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Argonauts record now stands at 12-17.
