Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 2-2 record.
With the loss, Normal Community falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to face the Irish in a challenge on Monday, May 16. The Irish enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
