The South Elgin Storm softball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Taft Eagles to 1 in the Storm non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, South Elgin improves its record to 2-0 on the year.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 17. Taft will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Meteors come into the game with a 11-7 record after their 11-2 non-league win over Fenwick (Oak Park, IL).
