The Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars softball team scored 20 runs and limited the visiting Bassick Lions to 3 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot test, on Monday, May 16. Kolbe-Cathedral will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Lancers come into the test with a 9-8 record after their 26-0 league win over Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT).
The Lions (0-9) will now prepare for their test against Harding (Bridgeport, CT). The Presidents come into the non-league test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Harding was routed by Joel Barlow (Redding, CT), 18-2, in a non-league test.
