Glenbard South Raiders (Glen Ellyn, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), 10-3 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fenton for a Upstate Eight challenge on Monday, May 16. Glenbard South will battle a Bison squad coming off a 11-2 non-league win over Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Bison record now stands at 16-12.

With the loss, West Chicago falls to 18-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Larkin (Elgin, IL) to battle the Royals in a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, May 17. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 14-8. Larkin lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL)
