Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 11-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stevenson for a North Suburban challenge on Monday, May 16. Lake Zurich will face a Patriots squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Wauconda (Wauconda, IL). The Patriots record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Lakes falls to 6-19 on the campaign. The Eagles host Harvard (Harvard, IL) to face the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 16. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 8-8.
