Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Comets now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they host Sheldon for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Crater will face a Irish squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Irish record now stands at 20-3.

With the loss, Ashland falls to 1-16 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Crater (Central Point, OR) to face the Comets in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Friday, May 17. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 15-7.
