St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Saints now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Ulm for a South Central challenge on Thursday, May 16. St. Peter will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 16-3.

With the loss, Fairmont falls to 9-10 on the campaign.
