South Brunswick Vikings (Monmouth Junction, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting J.P. Stevens Hawks (Edison, NJ), 10-8 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they host East Brunswick for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 15. South Brunswick will face a Bears squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ). The Bears record now stands at 14-9.

With the loss, J.P. Stevens falls to 3-18 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Woodbridge (Woodbridge, NJ) to face the Barrons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Barrons enter the challenge with a record of 10-7.
