Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Verbena Red Devils (Verbena, AL), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 34-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hackleburg for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Waterloo will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Brantley (Brantley, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 32-15.

With the loss, Verbena falls to 24-14 on the campaign.
