The Chippewa Valley Big Reds baseball squad (Clinton Township, MI), 7-5 in Wednesday's league contest with the visiting Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI)

With the triumph, Dakota moves its record to 19-7 on the season. The Cougars travel to Mattawan (Mattawan, MI) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Friday, May 16. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 22-3. Mattawan won 6-1 in their recent non-league contest against Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI)

The Big Reds now possess a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Lyon East for a non-league contest on Thursday, May 15. Chippewa Valley will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 11-12.
