Fans at Wednesday's non-league test between the Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME) and the visiting Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), witnessed Traip's lacrosse squad hold off Sanford by a count of 9-8.

The Rangers (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Waynflete (Portland, ME). The Flyers enter the Class C test with a 5-2 record.

Next, the Spartans battle the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) in a Class A test, on Friday, May 16. Sanford will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Trojans enter the test with a 6-2 record after their 16-6 league win over Scarborough (Scarborough, ME).
