New York High School Softball - Griffith Institute bested by Alden

May 14, 2025: Springville, NY 14141

The Alden Bulldogs triumphed over the host Griffith Institute Griffins softball squad by a count of 11-2 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the City Honors Centaurs (Buffalo, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 15. Alden will attempt to upgrade on its 12-1 season record. The Centaurs enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to Kenmore West (Buffalo, NY).

The Griffins (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Iroquois (Elma, NY). The Redhawks enter the Section 6 Erie County IV challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Iroquois overcame Lake Shore (Angola, NY), 12-5, in a non-league challenge.
