The Yamhill-Carlton Tigers triumphed over the host Amity Warriors softball squad by a count of 11-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the Sheridan Spartans (Sheridan, OR) in a 3A Special District 3 challenge, on Friday, May 16. Yamhill-Carlton will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 10-7 league win over Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR).
The Warriors (11-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Willamina (Willamina, OR). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Special District 3 challenge with a 16-6 record. In their last challenge, Willamina was routed by Dayton (Dayton, OR), 14-4, in a league challenge.
