The Clinton Gaels overwhelmed the visiting Lunenburg Blue Knights softball squad by a count of 7-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Gaels meet the Tahanto Regional Stags (Boylston, MA) in a Midland-Wachusett D challenge, on Friday, May 16. Clinton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Stags go into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 6-1 league loss to West Boylston (West Boylston, MA).

The Blue Knights (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against West Boylston (West Boylston, MA). The Lions go into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, West Boylston held off Tahanto Regional (Boylston, MA), 6-1, in a league challenge.
