The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) and the host Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL), observed Lincoln-Way East's softball team get by Lincoln-Way West by a tally of 9-3.

The Griffins (22-4) will now prepare for their bout against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Vikings go into the SouthWest Suburban bout with a 9-13 record. In their last bout, Homewood-Flossmoor tipped Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL), 6-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban bout, on Friday, May 16. Lincoln-Way West will attempt to advance on its 19-10 season record. The Porters go into the bout with a 20-9 record after their 11-0 league win over Sandburg (Orland Park, IL).
