In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Madison Bulldogs softball team scored a tight 16-10 victory over the Winthrop Ramblers.

The Bulldogs (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Cougars go into the Class C South match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Dirigo tipped Waterville (Waterville, ME), 16-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Ramblers battle the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) in a Class C South match, on Friday, May 16. Winthrop will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Phoenix go into the match with a 4-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME).
