Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) and the visiting Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME), witnessed Houlton's softball squad tip Fort Kent by a count of 7-0.
The Shiretowners now sport a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Presque Isle for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 18. Houlton will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 26-13 league loss to Hermon (Hermon, ME). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-11.
With the loss, Fort Kent moves to 3-7 on the season. The Warriors host Caribou (Caribou, ME) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Thursday, May 20. The Vikings go into the match with a record of 0-9.
