Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Oceanside upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Mariners travel to Waterville (Waterville, ME) to battle the Panthers in a Class B North test on Wednesday, May 17. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 6-5. Waterville lost 8-6 in their recent league test against Cony (Augusta, ME)

With the defeat, Medomak Valley falls to 4-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Erskine Academy (South China, ME) to battle the Eagles in a Class B South test on Wednesday, May 17. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 5-5. Erskine Academy won 10-2 in their recent non-league test against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME)
