Massachusetts High School Volleyball - New Bedford tips Brockton

May 15, 2023: Brockton, MA 02301

The crowd at Monday's league bout between the New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) and the host Brockton Boxers (Brockton, MA), saw New Bedford's volleyball squad nip Brockton by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, New Bedford upgrades its record to 8-7 on the year. The Whalers host Taunton (Taunton, MA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, May 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Taunton won 3-1 in their recent league bout against Barnstable (Hyannis, MA)

The Boxers now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Durfee for a Southern Alliance bout on Wednesday, May 17. Brockton will play a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Dighton-Rehoboth Regional (North Dighton, MA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-9.
