Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) followers exited the stadium content Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the visiting Weston Wildcats (Weston, MA), 6-5 in a league battle.
The Lions now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Bedford for a Dual County battle on Wednesday, May 17. Newton South will clash with a Buccaneers squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Concord-Carlisle (Concord, MA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 7-7.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Hopkinton Hillers (Hopkinton, MA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 20. Weston will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Hillers come into the battle with a 8-7 record after their 9-3 league win over Holliston (Holliston, MA).
