Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Blue Thunder now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Guilford for a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Belvidere North will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 15-1 league win over Jefferson (Rockford, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The J-hawks host Guilford (Rockford, IL) to battle the Vikings in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 9-11. Guilford lost 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Harlem (Machesney Park, IL)
