Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Rams now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheraw for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Chesterfield will battle a Braves squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, SC). The Braves record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Buford falls to 15-9 on the campaign.
