Mendon Hornets (Mendon, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Centreville Bulldogs (Centreville, MI), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they host Cassopolis for a Southwest 10 challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Mendon will face a Rangers squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Hartford (Hartford, MI). The Rangers record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Centreville falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Colon (Colon, MI) to face the Magi in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Magi enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
