Iroquois Braves (Erie, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Braves now sport a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host Youngsville for a District 10 Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, May 16. Iroquois will face a Eagles squad coming off a 22-2 league loss to Saegertown (Saegertown, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Cochranton falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA) to face the Tigers in a District 10 Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Maplewood lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Saegertown (Saegertown, PA)
