Wakefield Memorial Warriors (Wakefield, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Burlington for a Middlesex challenge on Tuesday, May 16.

With the loss, Danvers falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA) to face the Tanners in a Northeast challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Tanners enter the challenge with a record of 7-0.
