Spectators at Monday's league match between the Glenbard East Rams (Lombard, IL) and the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), witnessed Glenbard East's softball squad prevail over Elgin by a count of 17-2.

The Rams now sport a 12-11 record. They play next when they travel to Larkin for a Upstate Eight match on Tuesday, May 16. Glenbard East will face a Royals squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Royals record now stands at 14-11.

With the loss, Elgin moves to 1-22 on the season. The Maroons host Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL) to face the Raiders in a Upstate Eight match on Tuesday, May 16. The Raiders go into the match with a record of 9-10. Glenbard South won 5-4 in their recent league match against Bartlett (Bartlett, IL)
