In Monday's non-league contest, the Gowanda Panthers (Gowanda, NY) softball team held off the host Falconer Golden Falcons (Falconer, NY), by a margin of 8-7.

With the triumph, Gowanda moves its record to 11-7 on the year.

In their next game, the Golden Falcons play the Southwestern Trojans (Jamestown, NY) in a Chautaqua / Cattaragus I West contest, on Tuesday, May 16. Falconer will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 8-0 league loss to Fredonia (Fredonia, NY).
