The Kingsford Flivvers softball team scored 20 runs and limited the visiting Ishpeming Hematites to 4 in the Flivvers non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Kingsford moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Flivvers travel to Menominee (Menominee, MI) to clash with the Maroons in a Great Northern U.P. battle on Monday, May 22. The Maroons go into the battle with a record of 1-3.

The Hematites now possess a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Negaunee for a Mid-Peninsula battle on Thursday, May 18. Ishpeming will meet a Miners squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Gladstone (Gladstone, MI). The Miners record now stands at 0-2.
