The Pope Francis Prep Cardinals routed the visiting John J. Duggan Academy softball squad by a count of 5-0 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Cardinals (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against Amherst-Pelham Regional (Amherst, MA). The Hurricanes go into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record.

The now sport a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Springfield Renaissance for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 16. John J. Duggan Academy will meet a squad coming off a 28-6 league loss to Pathfinder RVT (Palmer, MA). The record now stands at 0-11.
