Norton Lancers (Norton, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Mansfield Hornets (Mansfield, MA), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Dighton-Rehoboth Regional for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Norton will face a Falcons squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Apponequet Regional (Lakeville, MA). The Falcons record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Mansfield falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hornets host Sharon (Sharon, MA) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-11. Sharon lost 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Foxborough (Foxborough, MA)
