In Monday's league outing, the visiting Vestaburg Wolverines softball team scored a close 10-9 win over the Montabella Mustangs.

Coming up next, the Wolverines encounter the St. Charles Bulldogs (St. Charles, MI) in a Mid-State outing, on Friday, May 19. Vestaburg will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 3-7 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Michigan Lutheran Seminary (Saginaw, MI).

The Mustangs (4-15) will now prepare for their outing against Ashley (Ashley, MI). The Bears enter the Mid-State outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Ashley was tipped by Coleman (Coleman, MI), 21-0, in a league outing.
