Rhode Island High School Softball - Ponaganset bounces Toll Gate

The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) softball routed the visiting Toll Gate Titans (Warwick, RI), 12-2 in Monday's league bout.

The Chieftains (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Eagles go into the Division 2 bout with a 1-13 record. In their last bout, Barrington was routed by South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI), 4-3, in a league bout.

The Titans now possess a 2-10 record. They play next when they host Mt. Hope for a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, May 17. Toll Gate will confront a Huskies squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 9-3.
