Connecticut High School Softball - Wheeler bounces Putnam

The Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) softball routed the visiting Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT), 22-3 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Lions (10-6) will now prepare for their bout against Parish Hill (Chaplin, CT). The Pirates go into the non-league bout with a 9-4 record. In their last bout, Parish Hill toppled Civic Leadership/AAE (Enfield, CT), 20-12, in a league bout.

The Clippers now possess a 0-15 record. They play next when they travel to Tourtellotte for a non-league bout on Wednesday, May 17. Putnam will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 2-14.
