Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), 16-15 in a league challenge.

The Raptors now own a 10-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crete-Monee for a Southland Athletic challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Rich Township will face a Warriors squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 12-10.

With the loss, Thornton falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL) to face the Blazing Trojan in a Southland Athletic challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Blazing Trojan enter the challenge with a record of 15-10. Bloom won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL)
