In Wednesday's league contest, the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) softball team overwhelmed the host Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME), by a margin of 19-8.
With the triumph, Houlton moves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Shiretowners travel to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME) to play the Lynx in a Class C North contest on Friday, May 17. The Lynx come into the contest with a record of 5-4.
In their next game, the Blue Devils play the Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 17. Calais will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Dragons come into the contest with a 9-2 record after their 15-0 league win over Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME).
