Orono Riots (Orono, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Riots now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dexter for a Class C North challenge on Friday, May 17. Orono will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, George Stevens Academy falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to battle the Golden Bucks in a Class C North challenge on Friday, May 17. The Golden Bucks enter the challenge with a record of 10-1. Bucksport won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against Sumner (East Sullivan, ME)
