The Union City Soaring Eagles baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Bayonne Bees to 8 in the Soaring Eagles league win on Thursday.

The Soaring Eagles now hold a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they host St. Peter's Prep for a HCIAL - American test on Saturday, May 17. Union City will play a Marauders team coming off a 3-0 league win over Ferris (Jersey City, NJ). The Marauders record now stands at 17-7.

With the defeat, Bayonne drops to 11-10 on the year. The Bees host Cranford (Cranford, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 20. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 12-9. Cranford won 5-3 in their recent non-league test against Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, NJ)
