The Branford Hornets baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Xavier Falcons to 0 in the Hornets non-league win on Thursday.

The Hornets now hold a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Branford for a non-league test on Friday, May 16. Branford will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 11-4 league win over Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 15-2.

With the defeat, Xavier drops to 14-5 on the year. The Falcons travel to Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT) to play the Trojans in a non-league test on Friday, May 16. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 19-2. Lyman Hall won 8-3 in their recent non-league test against Cheshire (Cheshire, CT)
