Virginia High School Baseball - Chincoteague wallops Northampton

The Chincoteague Ponies baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Northampton Yellowjackets to 4 in the Ponies league win on Thursday.

The Ponies now hold a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nandua for a Eastern Shore test on Tuesday, May 20. Chincoteague will play a Warriors team coming off a 12-4 league win over Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 9-7.

With the defeat, Northampton drops to 1-13 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Franklin (Franklin, VA) to play the Broncos in a non-league test on Monday, May 19. The Broncos go into the test with a record of 0-12. Franklin lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Southampton (Courtland, VA)
