The Sandia Matadors baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Cibola Cougars to 7 in the Matadors non-league win on Thursday.

The Matadors now own a 21-8 record. They take the field next when they host Rio Rancho for a non-league test on Friday, May 16. Sandia will clash with a Rams team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Rams record now stands at 23-6.

The Cougars now have a 17-13 record.
