The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Gilmour Academy Lancers (Gates Mills, OH) and the visiting Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions (Chardon, OH), saw Gilmour Academy's baseball team gain a win over Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin by a tally of 2-0.

The Lancers (13-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mayfield (Mayfield, OH). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 7-16 record. In their last battle, Mayfield held off Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH), 9-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Lions face the Elyria Catholic Panthers (Elyria, OH) in a Crown battle, on Monday, May 19. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 5-17 record after their 7-4 league loss to Holy Name (Parma Heights, OH).
