Virginia High School Baseball - Gretna loses to Nelson County

The Gretna Hawks baseball squad (Gretna, VA), was overwhelmed 9-1 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA)

With the triumph, Nelson County moves its record to 8-7 on the season. The Governors travel to Gretna (Gretna, VA) to confront the Hawks in a Dogwood contest on Friday, May 16. The Hawks come into the contest with a record of 2-13. Gretna lost 9-1 in their recent league bout against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA)

The Hawks (2-13) will now prepare for their bout against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels enter the Dogwood bout with a 12-5 record. In their last bout, Altavista overcame Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA), 5-2, in a league bout.
