Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Union advances its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Knights host Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to clash with the Falcons in a North Iowa Cedar League test on Friday, May 16. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 14-9. Aplington-Parkersburg lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA)

The Rebels now have a 4-12 record. They take the field next when they host Benton for a non-league test on Friday, May 16.
