Virginia High School Baseball - Western Branch wallops Nansemond River

May 15, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23321

In Thursday's non-league game, the host Western Branch Bruins baseball team scored a nice 15-5 victory over the Nansemond River Warriors.

The Bruins (13-3) will now prepare for their game against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets enter the non-league game with a 6-10 record. In their last game, Deep Creek was overwhelmed by Windsor (Windsor, VA), 16-3, in a non-league test.

With the defeat, Nansemond River drops to 5-4 on the year. The Warriors host Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Hawks in a non-league test on Friday, May 16. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 8-8. Hickory won 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)
