The Anchor Bay Tars overwhelmed the host Grosse Pointe North Norsemen softball squad by a count of 10-3 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Tars meet the Allen Park Jaguars (Allen Park, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 17. Anchor Bay will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record. The Jaguars go into the challenge with a 22-6 record after their 15-0 league win over Edsel Ford (Dearborn, MI).

The Norsemen (6-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Romeo (Romeo, MI). The Bulldogs go into the Macomb Area - Red challenge with a 15-7 record. In their last challenge, Romeo held off Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI), 6-2, in a league challenge.
