In Thursday's non-league match, the host Barren County Trojans softball team scored a tight 8-6 win over the Logan County Cougars.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Christian County Colonels (Hopkinsville, KY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 17. Logan County will attempt to better on its 9-16 season record. The Colonels come into the match with a 17-18 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY).
