The Belfast Lions softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Oceanside Mariners to 0 in the Lions league win on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nokomis for a Class B North battle on Wednesday, May 21. Belfast will confront a Warriors team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Oceanside moves to 1-9 on the season. The Mariners travel to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 20. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 2-6.
