Illinois High School Softball - Benton bounces Herrin

May 15, 2025: Herrin, IL 62948

In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Benton Rangers softball team scored a nice 13-3 win over the Herrin Tigers.

The Rangers (15-14) will now prepare for their match against Elverado (Elkville, IL). The Falcons come into the non-league match with a 12-9 record. In their last match, Elverado was routed by Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL), 14-0, in a non-league contest.

The Tigers now hold a 11-16 record. They play next when they host Johnston City for a non-league contest on Monday, May 19. Herrin will face a Indians squad coming off a 16-12 non-league win over Crab Orchard (Marion, IL). The Indians record now stands at 16-9.
